Congratulations to you and your teammates for having a successful season and earning a berth in the 2021 USTA Georgia Mixed 18 & Over and/or Mixed 40 & Over League Tennis State Championships.  There are over 24,000 players in Georgia competing for a berth in the USTA League Tennis Georgia State Championships, so you are in an elite group.

The next step on the road to becoming a National Champion is the
2021 USTA Georgia Mixed 18 & Over and/or Mixed 40 & Over League Tennis State Championship, which will take place September 10 - 12, in Macon, GA.

    *Notice Regarding COVID-19*

USTA Georgia will take proactive measures to create a safer environment for our participating tennis players. These actions will be relayed to teams prior to the start of each championship. Such measures may include but not limited to staggered championship schedule (to make player capacity smaller); an app for scorecard submissions; online schedules, resources and materials (as opposed to print-outs); sanitizing stations, no spectators, and mask and social distancing requirements.

To ensure a smooth and non-disruptive tournament experience, we require all players to abide by guidelines given by USTA Georgia Tournament Staff. This is for the safety of everyone. Should a “state of emergency” occur leading up to our USTA Georgia  League Championship, tournament staff will notify captains and players with as much advance notice as possible. Should a USTA Georgia League Championship cancellation occur due to COVID or another infection virus/disease, and the securement of another location is not possible, the championship will not be rescheduled and the “cancellation policy,” as described in these Championship Procedures, will be followed.

Players who participate on two teams will not be accommodated in scheduling of the event.   The directions page shows which facilities we will be using and all levels will be played on hard courts, barring any weather problems.  As we have done at our other state championships this year, we will be having a virtual site desk.  So, all lineups will be submitted digitally and players will receive a text with the name of their opponents and their court assignment.  It will be very important for the captain to be on the Captain Zoom Video Call the Wednesday prior to the championship beginning.  Penn has graciously donated all of the balls for the event, which will be handed out prior to each match.

On the upper right side of this page there is a screenshot of our USTA Georgia League State Championship App!  Please download this and turn on your event, so you will receive alerts throughout the tournament.  All weather notifications will be sent via this app, so it's very important for you you download this and accept this championship to receive event messages.

If you have questions, please contact your local league coordinator and if your local league coordinator is unable to answer your questions, contact David Bain at the USTA Georgia office (404-256-9543 x118) or by email bain@ustageorgia.com.  The answer to most of your questions may be found on this website.

Good luck to your team, and the USTA Georgia staff looks forward to seeing you at the Mixed 18 & Over and/or Mixed 40 & Over State Championship!
